The BASE price of standard home inspections ranges from $295 for homes with an area* of 1500 square feet or less up to $750 for homes as large as 7000 SF. Larger and upper scale homes start at 0.125% of the listing price of the home. That's $1.25 per thousand dollars. Just think, the realty-broker commissions are typically up to 48 times that much.

* Area is based upon the TOTAL Livable area under roof or total air conditioned space whichever is greater. A completely unfinished basement is not included in area. A finished or partially finished basement is included as a livable area.
